Election Day is Here!
I have been honored to serve on Cincinnati City Council for 4 years and ask for your vote today to earn another two years of leading Cincinnati and making our City a better place to live, work and play.
I will continue to put people ahead of politics. I believe we must balance the City budget without raising taxes or laying off police officers and firefighters. I will continue to work with the County Commissioners and my colleagues on the merger of services and the end of duplicated programs. We must focus on making the City more attractive for businesses and families, as these successes will result in more tax revenue to the City.
With three children, I am focused on making the City better long-term, so my kids and your kids and grandkids are more likely to raise their families here in Cincinnati. Council members have been focused for far too long on their short term political gains at the expense of the long term needs of our City. I will continue to be an independent voice for common sense leadership, and let the politics take care of itself.
The Enquirer has reviewed all the candidates and endorsed me, stating:
Jeff Berding (D) – An incumbent who has emerged as a strong, principled presence, showing independence and courage in proposing solutions and working with colleagues, despite party and union pressure. We hope he finishes high in the vote order and sends a message to those who would squash dissent.
I respectfully ask for your vote.
Sincerely,
Jeff
